Vintage VARGAS 10kt Gold Filled Engraved Forget Me Not Flower Heart Locket Pendant.

During the Victorian era, in order for the message to be understood, one used a flower (or other object such as fruit) to be handed out. Forget-Me-Not flowers meant True, Undying Love. Today, the forget-me-not is still as resonant as it was one hundred years ago and you can still find it as a popular motif in jewelry to give to a loved one.

The lovely heart shaped locket is so pretty! Offering two different looks, boasting beautifully hand engraved Forget-Me-Not flower with a heart on the front sides, and line design on the back.

The overall vintage condition is great, this heart locket must have been adored and cherished. This locket opens easily from a groove at the right side. This locket is in amazing shape with a sturdy and firm hinge, closes securely with soft snap.

Besides the normal wear, there are light surface scratches. I have gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth and left a little patina intentionally. It's a wonderful charm locket pendant, clean and ready to wear or give as a gift!

A brand new antique style swivel dog clip, gold plated brass, has been attached to this locket to easily clip on or off to any chain. The swivel dog clip allows the locket to easily be turned to the other side. This will allow the wearer to interchange the side of the design at any time!
