Antique Victorian Sterling Silver 3D Belt Buckle Engraved Locket Pendant

Belt buckles were much used in Victorian jewelry, they were symbols of eternity, fidelity/loyalty, strength and protection. As the symbol curves around and threads back into itself, creating an eternal loop, it threads through the buckle and tightly overlaps itself. They came in every forms, rings, bangles, brooches, bracelets ... and lockets.

Besides the normal wear, the overall is in excellent condition! This locket has light superficial scratches, it is in excellent shape with a sturdy and firm hinge and closes securely with a snap. This locket opens to reveal two plastic oval cover to keep photos securely stored away.

The 3D belt buckle is in excellent antique condition with slight patina. This locket has no damages and no repairs! Looks to be very seldom used condition or possibly only for Sunday best, as they did in the Victorian Era!

It has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner. I have only gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth. This is truly an amazing piece of history to own, it is breathtaking!
