This is a slender link antique niello chain, once a watch chain but used now as a choker necklace. It measures 14.75" inches long not including the perfectly working clasps.. It's strong and weighs 9.14 grams and the niello and rose gold gilt links are all in great shape. This chain is the best to use as a collar/choker when layering chain necklaces! It can also be used as an extension to lengthen a longer necklace.
There is normal wear to this chain, some surface scratches, with no damages or repairs. There are high spots on the rose gold plating which can be seen in the photos. From experience, this is mostly due to over polishing as the niello links have so little wear. This does not spoil the beauty of this chain, beautiful piece with lots of characters!
The dog clip and the clasp have been conditioned and are functioning very well. The chain has been lightly cleaned so it's ready to wear or to give. There are still some patina present, I have only washed with soap and gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
Mark(s): It bears the silver purity mark, “800” and tested as 800 silver.
