Victorian Mourning Carved Whitby Jet 3 Tulip Flowers Charm Pendant.

This lovely Whitby jet came from a pair of earrings. The original ear wires were broken with this hanging part still in excellent condition. I had to rescue them so I have 2 of these. This one has no flaw, the other one is slightly flawed. I have it in my shop as well.

The beautiful hand carving consists of 3 tulip flowers with leaves. It is extremely lightweight but the jewelry made from Whitby jet is astonishingly powerful looking, just look at it!

The most common meaning for tulips is perfect or deep love. Because tulips are one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring, they can mean rebirth. Victorians often associated tulips with charity.

Besides the normal wear, the overall condition is extremely impressive. There are no repairs or damages, except under the loupe, there are surface scratches, just lovely!

A brand new antique style swivel dog clip and jump ring, solid sterling silver, has been attached to this charm to easily clip on or off to any chain. It has also been patinaed to match this charm. The swivel dog clip allows this pendant to easily be turned to the other side. This will allow the wearer to interchange the side of the design at any time!
