Antique Victorian Aesthetic Sterling Silver Locket Pendant, Bird, Butterfly, Dragonfly

Gorgeous Victorian Aesthetic Movement silver locket with a bird, butterfly, and dragonfly.
The bird, probably a swallow, was a symbol that lovers gave to each other, as they mate for life and always go back to their nests.

This is a superb quality Victorian silver and gold locket. It is absolutely wonderful, It comes with all the trimmings: Heavy silver with yellow and rose gold applied bird, butterfly, a dragonfly and lots of baubles around the locket! This is definitely a miniature piece of art from the Victorian era.

Besides the normal surface wear, the overall condition is exceptionally impressive. This locket has light superficial scratches, it is in amazing shape with a sturdy and firm hinge and closes securely. This locket opens to reveal two clear covers to keep photos securely stored away. The original inserts are not present but can be added easily if desired.

For the sake of accuracy, under close inspections, there are about 2 minuscule needle dings on the back cover, no damages, and no repairs! Just incredible. It is in excellent antique condition with slight patina. It has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner. I have only gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
