Symbolic Victorian Sterling Silver Engraved Ivy Leaves Chased Bangle Bracelet.
One of the most lovely Victorian silver cuff bangles I've had in a while. The front panel is crammed full of hand-chased ivy leaves - under the Victorian Language of Flowers, ivy was used to denote fidelity, dependence, and affection. Fidelity was highly valued by Victorians which makes this bangle a lovely symbol!
The width of the bangle is approximately 1”inch and weighs 40 grams! There are only surface scratches on the bangle, no damages or repairs. There are some patina and has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner. I have only gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth. The condition is simply superb considering it's over 150 years!
My wrist is exactly 6" inches, this fits me comfortably and still has extra room that wiggles.
