This antique locket pendant has two very interesting daguerreotype photos that look to date from the 1850's to the 1860's. The locket is gold fill with the word patent stamped in on the edge on the side opposite the thumb latch. The glass has spotting and dirt but the photos themselves are in great shape with so much fine detail. (The beard is a fringe that runs around the edge of his jaw!) There is wear to the metal, but very light and consistent with the age of the locket. No dings, scrapes or scuffs. It measures just over 1 5/8 inches tall, and 1 1/8 inches wide, not including the dog clip. Total length is approximately 2.55" inches. Opens and closes nicely with no problems. Great present for someone who collects photography or lockets!
