Antique Victorian Niello Silver & 9k Rose Gold Vermeil Chain Necklace, 17" inches MB54

This wonderful antique niello chain was handcrafted around 1800. It is adorned in fancy black metalwork links and alternating rose gold gilt links. It's easily adjusted to be wearable as a necklace or twice round as a bracelet.

The overall condition of this niello is lovely. Th rose gold vermeil links are more vibrant in colors compared to the niello links. From experience, this chain was polished more than wear. The colors of the niello links are on the light side. However, as it oxidizes it will get deeper in color. Both of the clasps are functioning well and have been conditioned and cleaned.

Besides the normal wear, there are no damages or repairs, just surface scratches. There's only minor patina and has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner. I have only gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth.

Marks: It bears the silver purity mark, “800”, tested as 800 silver. 9k was also detected usng KEE Gold Tester.

Weight Approximately: 15.80 grams.
