Antique Victorian Niello 800 Silver & 12k Rose Gold Gilt Watch Chain Bracelet MB49

This antique silver and rose gold vermeil niello watch chain, handcrafted around the 1800s, is a stunning example of intricate design and craftsmanship.

The chain features long black metalwork links interspersed with pairs of small rose gold vermeil curb links. Each niello link also contains a rose vermeil link inside, adding a unique and intricate detail. The links are thicker, contributing to the chain's substantial and elegant appearance.

Despite its age, the chain is in amazing condition. There is typical wear, including surface scratches and some high spots on both the niello and rose vermeil links. However, these minor imperfections do not detract from the overall beauty and character of this piece. The inner rose vermeil links show more wear than the curb links, but the chain remains in excellent shape, with both the spring ring and dog clip functioning perfectly.

The chain is versatile enough to be worn as a bracelet. You can attach the large bolt ring a few links down and let the rest dangle for clipping on charms. Extra links can be easily removed if needed. Additionally, it can be used as an extension for a necklace.

The chain has a beautiful patina and has not been professionally cleaned, allowing the new owner to decide on its final appearance. I have given it a gentle wipe with a soft jewelry cleaning cloth, making it ready to wear or gift.
