This is a wonderful copper horse head with niello and rose gold gilt horseshoe pendant. This is the biggest niello horseshoe I've ever come across.
Besides the normal wear of an antique pendant, there are no damages. It is in amazing condition with surface scratches. There appears to be extra solder added for reinforcement to the placement of the horse head, please see photos #5-#7). There are 2 air holes on the back indicating the hollow constructions of the horseshoe. There are no cracks or dents to it, very special!
There are some patina and has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner. I have only gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
An antique niello pocket watch dog clip, 800 silver, has been attached to this pendant to easily clip on or off to any chain.
