This is a slender link antique niello chain, once a watch chain but used now as a necklace. The bar links are approximately 1.3x0.3cm. It's strong and weighs 12.86 grams and the niello and yellow gold gilt are in great shape with expected wear. The chain is 800 silver and is marked. This chain is the best to use as a collar/choker when layering chain necklaces! It can also be used as an extension to lengthen a longer necklace.
There is normal wear to this chain, some surface scratches, with no damages or repairs. Both the spring clasp and the niello dog clip has been conditioned and is functioning very well. The chain also has been lightly cleaned so it's ready to wear or to give. There are still some patina present, I have only washed with soap and gently wiped with soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
Mark(s): It bears the maker's mark and the silver purity mark, “800” and tested as 800 silver and 14k gold plated.
