Antique Gold Filled Mother of Pearl and Tiger Eye Spinner Fob Pendant
Antique Gold Filled Mother of Pearl and Tiger Eye Spinner Fob Pendant
This is an outstanding antique spinner fob dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian era. One side features a smooth, uncarved piece of Mother of Pearl, while the other displays a beautifully carved profile of a person. Both sides are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
The metal has a lovely tone that falls between rose gold and warm yellow gold—truly beautiful. It is likely rolled gold or gold filled; it has not been scratch-tested to confirm.
The piece weighs a total of 13.6 grams and remains in excellent antique condition. Aside from normal age-related wear and light surface scratches, the overall condition is remarkable. It has been gently wiped with a soft jewelry polishing cloth and is ready to clip onto your favorite necklace or bracelet. If you’ve purchased one of my niello chain necklaces, this would make a stunning addition.
An antique swivel dog clip (rolled gold with a brass base) has been attached to the fob, making it easy to clip on or remove from any chain. The swivel mechanism also allows the fob to rotate smoothly, so the wearer can effortlessly switch between the two sides whenever they like.
