1887 Antique Love Token Hand Engraved Father United States of America Coin Charm

Love tokens were typically engraved on old silver coins with letters, and/or images. In this case, there's a wonderful hand engraved designs with "Father" in the center.

The Liberty Seated Dime was issued from 1837-1891. The front of these coins (also called the Obverse) has the Goddess or Lady Liberty seated. She holds what looks like a small flag in her left hand. This is actually a "liberty pole". Her right hand is holding the top left corner of a shield containing the word Liberty.

If you are looking for the date on this coin it's just under her dress on the front bottom center. It just so happens that for 1887 coin, there are no mint mark on the reverse side. The mint mark can be found on the reverse above or below the bottom center of the wreath. This is probably why the whole entire side was engraved.

This lovely coin is in excellent condition with minimal wear, clean and ready to be given or worn. A great keepsake that would be a very sweet present or memento for yourself.

A brand new antique style dog clip, sterling silver, has been attached to this pendant to easily clip on or off to any chain. The swivel dog clip allows this pendant to easily be turned to the other side. This will allow the wearer to interchange the side of the design at any time!
