1881 Antique Victorian Birmingham Tricolor Sterling Silver Scalloped Flower Locket Pendant
1881 Antique Victorian Birmingham Tricolor Sterling Silver Scalloped Flower Locket Pendant
Victorian-era sterling silver locket made in Birmingham in 1881, featuring a beautiful scalloped border with raised Forget-Me-Not and tulip flowers alternating around a central rose motif. The flowers are accented with rose gold and yellow gold gilt, creating lovely tricolor contrast and three-dimensional depth. The remaining details are finely engraved.
Symbolism: Forget-Me-Not = undying love; Rose = love; Tulip = fame — a deeply romantic Victorian message.
