This locket was tested to be sterling silver, it is marked on the top loop. This was a French locket imported to England during the Victorian era.  Inside the locket contains 1 of the original covers, the other is missing. It can be replaced easily.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eBesides the normal wear, the overall condition is extremely impressive. There are no repairs or damages, except under the loupe, there are a couple of minuscule flea bites on the edge of the stones.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a little patina and has not been professionally cleaned. I leave this up to the new owner.
